The Wind River Indian Reservation is located in west central Wyoming, and occupies most of Fremont County.  The reservation is shared by the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes.  The reservation sets in the middle of many mountain ranges, including the Wind River Mountains to the west, Owl Creek Mountains to the east, and Absaroka to the north.
