Recurring Weekly and Monthly Events

Job Assistance Available
Wyoming Workforce Services is on the Wind River Indian Reservation every Thursday to talk to people about jobs, training, veterans services and other employment needs.  People can visit with workforce specialist Casey Barnum from 9:30-11:30 AM at the Wind River Tribal College computer lab in Ethete.  Barnum will also be available from 1-2 PM at the Shoshone TANF office in Fort Washakie, and from 2:30-3:30 PM at the TANF office in Arapahoe.  For more information call Wyoming Workforce Services at 856-9231.

The Northern Arapaho Experience
Come to the Wind River Casino every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the months of June, July, and August for the Nothern Arapaho Experience.  Weather permitting.  Evening performances begin at 6:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM.  Contact the Wind River Casino for more details.

Toddler Library Program
The Fort Washakie School/Community Library Toddler Time will meet from 10-10:30 AM every Wednesday morning.  The library will offer preschool-age children the opportunity to enjoy stories, songs and movement activities that lead young minds to becoming better readers.  Librarians Robin Levin and Hannah Darr invite the community to bring their children to Toddler Time.  For more information call 332-3592. 

Youth Talking Circle
A talking circle is available for youth ages 10 to 18 that provides a place for them to share their experiences to help each other. The talking circle is held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday at the Wind River Tribal Youth Building at St. Michael's Mission in Ethete. Food and snacks are provided as well. Anyone interested in participating in the talking circle, youth or elder, needs to contact the organizers: Vernalyn at 332-4758 or Baille at 332-5050. The Eastern Shoshone Recovery Tribal Youth Program and the Wind River Tribal Youth Program sponsor the circles.

Arapaho Language Classes
Language classes on Tuesday nights from 6-7 PM at the 789 Bingo Hall in the non-smoking section.  Another Arapaho language class will be held on Wednesdays nights from 6-7 PM at the Arapahoe School's culture building.  Classes offered by the Northern Arapaho Children in Schools Grant.  All parents and community members are welcome to attend.  There will be monthly gas card and quarterly gift certificate drawings.

Arapaho Beading Classes
Beading night are from 5-8 PM every Monday at the Arapahoe School's culture building.  Classes offered by the Northern Arapaho Children in Schools Grant.  All parents and community members are welcome to attend.  There will be monthly gas card and quarterly gift certificate drawings.

Drumming and Singing Classes
Held at Wind River Tribal College every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m.

Al-Anon Meetings
Meetings held every Tuesday evening at 7 PM in Circle of Healing Center at St. Stephen's Mission.
